The Arctic Viking Heritage Project now includes a news section built from plain Markdown files.
The aim is to make updates easier to publish from the working Obsidian vault: research notes, source corrections, commemoration planning, archive finds and site announcements can be prepared as ordinary Markdown, then synced into the Astro site.
Each post carries a short frontmatter block for the title, summary, publication date, source note and tags. Draft posts can stay hidden until they are ready.
